So there we were. A new found coffee spot. Inducing ourselves with nicoffeine.
"You know what, i have a theory.... about what happened between you guys," said N as he lit another stick of black.
V and I just gave him an intent look. Waiting for what he was about to say. As if it was going to change everything.
'You know, it's like when you're using an operating system and you already know your way around, 'cause you're used to it.... then here comes a new operating system... and you install it, too..." he stopped for a moment to hit on his cig.
"Yeah, and you like the new OS too, and begin using it. You explore. You try to find what it has to offer and you realize it's as good as the old OS, maybe even better," continued V.
How these guys could finish each other's sentences off never fail to amuse me. It's as if an invisible strand bind their minds together.
"And you start comparing. And you decide to have just one OS. So you reformat. But you're torn with the tough task of choosing which OS to use. So while undecided, you just don't use you're computer anymore," N finished with a sly smile.
"Who knows, he's hoping that once the thinking is over, the newer installer would still be available for him to use," V said with a smile that revealed the deepest dimples you'd ever see.
"Should we start abusing the metaphor?" I wanted to know. And we all chuckled.
